Showtime To Stream Undercard Fights For July 27 Show In Baltimore
With Showtime pulling out all the stops for its upcoming boxing card taking place in Baltimore on July 27, the network announced that more fights will be broadcast.
Prior to the three-fight telecast for the July 27 edition of “Showtime Championship Boxing,” the Showtime Boxing Facebook page and Showtime Sports YouTube channel will stream three fights on the undercard featuring a number of prospects. The online undercard stream will start at 6:30 p.m. ET with the televised card starting at 9 p.m.
The three prospects from Mayweather Promotions competing in separate bouts are Richardson Hitchins, Malik Hawkins and Dylan Price. Hitchins, an undefeated welterweight prospect who has fought mostly at the Barclays Center, will be having his ninth pro bout but it is only the second time he has fought outside of Brooklyn. Hawkins is another welterweight prospect who is undefeated and will be competing for the third time this year while Price, a rising bantamweight fighter, is looking to get his ninth pro win.
Other fights on the undercard include former world title challenger Ronald Gavril facing Vaughn Alexander and Immanuwel Aleem taking on Freddy Hernandez. Among the other prospects and rising contenders scheduled to compete are Jayson Velez, Brian Vera, Lionell Thompson, Kareem Martin and Kenny Robles among others.
The televised portion of the card will be headlined by Gervonta Davis’ homecoming bout against Ricardo Nunez for the WBA super featherweight title. The card will also feature former world champions Yuriorkis Gamboa, Rocky Martinez and Jezreel Corrales in action.
