Murphys Boxing To Have August 17 Show Streamed On UFC Fight Pass

Murphys Boxing’s next show to be streamed on UFC Fight Pass has been announced.

The company announced a show at the MGM Springfield in Springfield, Massachusetts on August 17 that will be broadcast on the streaming platform. A pair of title bouts were announced: Charles Foster vs. Denis Grachev for the NABA light heavyweight title and Niall Kennedy vs. Devin Vargas in a 10-round heavyweight bout.

Foster is an unbeaten rising light heavyweight prospect who has won all 18 of his pro bouts since making his debut back in 2011. Ranked No. 10 by the WBA at 175 pounds, Foster last fought in March when he stopped Mike Jimenez. Grachev has faced a number of notable fighters through his career, including former world champion Lucian Bute as well as contenders Imre Szello and Isaac Chilemba. The 36-year-old Grachev has fought professionally since 2017.

Kennedy is also undefeated, sporting a 13-0-1 record since making his pro debut back in 2015. Kennedy is currently on a two-fight win streak, last fighting in March when he defeated Michael Marrone in the first round. As for Vargas, the 37-year-old won his first 17 fights in the paid ranks, but has since then lost five of his last eight fights, losing to the likes of Andy Ruiz Jr., Kevin Johnson and Dominic Breazeale.

A number of other boxers were also announced for the show, which includes former world title challenger Shelly Vincent, Anthony Velazquez, Derrick Whitley Jr. and Ray Jay Bermudez all competing in separate bouts. Two more fights will also be announced for the undercard at a later date.
