Kevin Sullivan vs. Brian Pillman Jr. Booked For ECCW Show
Will respect be shown?
23 years after Brian Pillman walked out on WCW and a match with then-booker Kevin Sullivan, his son will continue the war. ECCW announced that this weekend’s show will feature “The Taskmaster” Kevin Sullivan taking on Brian Pillman Jr. in a No Holds Barred match.

Pillman Sr. was booked in an “I Respect You” match against Sullivan in 1996, where the loser would have to admit they respected the winner. Instead, Pillman left the match early, grabbed a microphone, and said “I respect you, bookerman,” and subsequently quit WCW, never to return again. The level of involvement among those in the match and in WCW has been disputed ever since.
Pillman Jr. laid a nasty beating on Sullivan as a member of the Hart Foundation in Major League Wrestling last year, leaving Sullivan bleeding on the floor.
ECCW Ballroom Brawl takes place July 13, 2019 from the Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver, British Columbia.
