Joshua Franco vs. Oscar Negrete 3 Confirmed For August 10 DAZN Card

The heated rivalry between Joshua Franco and Oscar Negrete continues in August on DAZN.

Golden Boy Promotions announced that Franco and Negrete will have a trilogy fight, this time on August 10 as part of the DAZN undercard taking place in Grand Prairie, Texas. The fight will be for the WBA International and NABF bantamweight titles.

The first fight between the two, which aired on ESPN2 on October 2018, saw both men fight to a split draw. The rematch, however, was another competitive and close fight that was part of a Golden Boy Promotions card that took place last April and was streamed on Facebook. Franco came out on top with a split decision win, but there was still no clear winner and so a third fight will look to settle the score once and for all.

Franco had won 14 of his 15 fights before first engaging with Negrete. Prior to the first fight against Franco, Negrete unsuccessfully challenged for the WBC bantamweight title back in December 2017 and then bounced back with a win against Diuhl Olguin. Negrete sports an 18-2-1 as a pro record.

The August 10 card will be headlined by a welterweight fight between undefeated contender Vergil Ortiz Jr. and former world title challenger Antonio Orozco.
