Report: Omari Akhmedov Faces Zak Cummings At UFC 242
A middleweight division attraction has been added to UFC 242 according to Igor Lazorin as Omari Akhmedov is going to be in action against Zak Cummings.
Akhmedov (18-4-1) has won three of his last four under the UFC banner, with those wins coming over the trio of Kyle Noke, Abdul Razak Alhassan and Tim Boetsch. Akhmedov has suffered four losses as a professional MMA fighter and three of those defeats came in UFC competition. Akhmedov has seen six of his professional MMA bouts go the distance and the fighter has won all six of those fights.
Cummings (23-6-0) enters the contest on the strength of a two fight winning streak, defeating the duo of Trevin Giles and Trevor Smith. Cummings is competing on a UFC pay-per-view card for the first time during his promotional tenure, which began in August of 2013. Cummings has suffered six losses as a professional MMA fighter, but he has yet to be beaten by way of KO/TKO.
