Thieves Steal Package With WWE Replica Titles In Them; Later Return Titles With An Apology Note

A unique story coming out of Washington state.

The news outlet KIRO 7 first reported the story of two women who were caught on camera taking boxes off a man’s porch this past Monday. Inside the packages were replica WWE Championship belts that were sitting on the porch of Sergio Moriera’s home who is a championship belt designer and artist. Sergio was planning on sending a designed title to 5-year old Timmy Vick who resides in Delaware and is battling with autism and is in need of surgery to remove a brain tumor. Timmy Vick uses the WWE Titles to sleep with for comfort.

The story of the missing belt aired on KIRO 7 and the individuals came across the story and would return the belts to the home of Sergio the following day with an apology note.

“We are so sorry for taking your stuff. Never in a million years would I have expected I would have stolen from a sick five year old… I am ashamed of what I did,” it said.

Police would still like to speak with the suspects although the belts have been returned. Sergio Moriera replaces the plastic on the title belts with leather, metal and sometimes gold plating. Sergio had the following to say about the stealing of the packages as the story made the rounds:

“The belts are heavier and thicker, so it feels like the real thing,” he said.“(Timmy’s) father doesn’t make a lot of money,” Moriera said. “But he wanted to give his son an amazing gift, and I told him I would do everything for free. I said, ‘Just ship it over and I’ll do everything you want on the belt, and he’ll have the belt of a lifetime.’”

Moriera was present at this past Monday’s WWE RAW in Everett, Washington and he received an alert on his phone and saw through the doorbell motion app that the two women were taking packages from his home. Sergio shared that he was discovered by Timmy’s family because they are belt collectors and wanted the belts designed so they shipped them to him from Delaware. Once the packages were returned, Sergio began to work on the belts and sent them back to Timmy.

Moriera was willing to take out money from his own pocket to get new belts for Timmy had they not been returned and was also willing to not press charges if the individuals returned the belts before they ultimately did.
