Dana White Says He’s “Just Signed a New 10-Year Deal with the UFC”

Though his interest remains high in other ventures, Dana White will continue as UFC President for another decade.

After almost two decades as UFC President, Dana White’s reign isn’t yet nearing it’s end. Far from it in fact based on what White revealed last week. 

Appearing on LVSportsBiz’s Guerilla Cross Radio, White revealed that he’d recently signed a new 10-year contract, continuing in his current role for another decade. The UFC isn’t White’s sole focus though, with the UFC President expressing an interest in other ventures too. With that in mind, White remains excited by a potential reunion with former UFC owners Lorenzo and Frank Fertita. More specifically, he shares an intrigue in their hopes to buy an NFL franchise.

“TMZ just got Lorenzo the other day in New York, and Lorenzo confirmed that they are looking at NFL teams,” he said. “I heard the Panthers, that the Broncos were available, that the Chargers might be up for sale. We’ll have to see how this plays out but yeah, if they buy a team, I’m in. I will partner up with them.”

This isn’t a new thought for White and the Fertita brothers either, previously attempting to purchase a franchise in a different sport altogether. “We had looked at something a couple years ago, not in the NFL,” White recalled. “In the NBA, we looked at a team and we got outbid, me and the brothers.”

Regardless of the team in question, White’s interest is consistent, even pondering a return to working with the brothers daily after his new contract concludes. “I would love to be back in business with them and do something. Obviously, I’m very busy and very focused over here. Financially, I’d jump in with those guys. I just signed a new 10-year deal with the UFC, so in ten years, I can do something with them every day.”
