After losing her pro debut to current undisputed middleweight champion Claressa Shields, Crews-Dezurn would go on to win her next four fights. Crews-Dezurn won the WBC world title last September on a Golden Boy Promotions card from Las Vegas that was televised on ESPN2 where she defeated Maricela Cornejo by majority decision.
As for the rest of the June 20 show, the main event will be a 10-round matchup between unbeaten prospect D’Mitrius Ballard and Elias Espadas. Also announced for the card is a fight between Eddie Gomez and Saul Corral. Gomez is currently on a two-fight win streak since losing a split decision to Alejandro Barrera back in 2017 while Corral has also won his last two fights since losing three straight fights in 2018.
