Kongo Kong No Longer With IMPACT Wrestling
Kongo Kong has wrapped up with IMPACT Wrestling.
IMPACT Wrestling’s resident big man is longer with the company as it was noted in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Kong has finished up with the company. Kong’s Twitter bio reads, “Former IMPACT Star and Current Free Agent” as well.
Kongo Kong initially started with IMPACT Wrestling in 2015 as a part of Global Force Wrestling. He returned to IMPACT in 2017 after one year away from the company and went on to have a feud with Johnny Impact, had an opportunity to challenge for the IMPACT World Title and was managed by IMPACT creative writer Jimmy Jacobs.
Kongo Kong is 39 years old and has been in the wrestling business since the late 90s. Per Cagematch.net, Kong recently wrestled on May 30th and defeated Manny Fernandez for the IWA Mid-South promotion.
IMPACT Wrestling held their first of two sets of television tapings at the Melrose Ballroom in Queens, New York last night and Fightful has spoilers published from those tapings which can be checked out over at our “results” section.
