Lacey Evans Says Becky Lynch’s Trash Talk Is Nothing Compared To Trash Talk In The Marines
Lacey is not phased by the man.
Lacey Evans was a part of the group of NXT stars that were called up to the main roster late last year. Lacey was featured on WWE television but not in a wrestling role as she would interrupt matches and walk down the ramp and walk back up the ramp. Lacey began to get physical on a consistent basis when she engaged in a feud with the current RAW Women’s Champion Becky Lynch. Lacey and Becky went one-on-one for the RAW Women’s Title at the Money In The Bank pay-per-view and Lynch ended her night with that belt.
Regardless of the outcome, Lacey is excited to be in the position that she’s in which includes going back and forth with “The Man” and Charlotte Flair on Twitter to further increase their on-screen relations with one another. Evans shared during an interview with Sporting News that Becky’s jabs on social media do not phase her because they are nothing compared to the trash talk she dealt with while in the Marines.
“Let me tell you: three months of United States Marine Corps boot camp and you can trash talk like no other. For three months, from start to finish, the morning I woke up to the minute I went to bed, that’s all they ever did which is where the term ‘nasties’ comes from because in the Marines Corps, it doesn’t matter how fast you were, how smart you were, you were always a nasty thing. They could always find something that wasn’t good enough and whether it was a second too late in a run or if you did a push up too slow, you were a nasty thing. The reason they said that was to always keep you motivated, to keep you working harder. Other than that, my dad had a pretty sharp tongue as well. That really helped me be able to come up with the verbiage needed to keep the crap talking and make everyone else stand down. If you have something to say about me, I promise you, I have three more things I could say back about you.” She explained.
