Jon Moxley Reveals That He Had A 25+ Minute Conversation With Stone Cold Steve Austin Recently
Jon Moxley and “The Rattlesnake” reconnected.
Jon Moxley has been in many of headlines as of late coming off the helms of his AEW debut at the company’s Double Or Nothing show. Moxley was then announced to be taking on Joey Janela at Fyter Fest, going one-on-one with Pentagon Jr. at a Northeast Wrestling show and did a tell-all interview with former IWGP Intercontinental Champion Chris Jericho. Moxley was not done making the rounds on the media circuit as he joined the ‘Flip The Strip’ radio show. The former WWE Champion talked about the wave of momentum that he has been feeling since Double Or Nothing and said that his day became even greater when he received a phone call from WWE Hall Of Famer Stone Cold Steve Austin.
Stone Cold once hosted Moxley on his podcast in 2016 and listeners and viewers of the podcast expressed that it did not turnout in Moxley’s favor. When he talked with Stone Cold recently, he said that they were on the phone for thirty minutes and when asked about what they talked about, he said it was just “good brother talk”.
“This is a really good day. I had a good workout this morning, went and trained, got back, [I’m] sitting outside, guess who I get a call from this afternoon? Stone Cold Steve Austin. We shot the stuff for thirty minutes, had a great conversation and just any day — I grew up as a 90s wrestling fan, obviously, so any day you get a call from Stone Cold Steve Austin, that’s a really good day. That’s like a sign that today is gonna really be a really good day.” He continued, “We shot the bull crap for a little while. He’s gonna start doing his podcast again in June so maybe by the end of the year I’ll head in the truck, head down to Marina del Rey, we’ll have some Steveweisers, we’ll shoot the bull crap again [and] do the podcast.” He said. “Oh, just good brothers talking about good brother stuff.” Moxley said of his conversation with Stone Cold Steve Austin.
