Report: AJ Styles Expected To Be Out Of Action For One Month

AJ Styles is expected to be out of action for about a month.

On the latest edition of Monday Night RAW, “The Phenomenal” AJ Styles was attacked by Baron Corbin backstage which was done to remove Styles from the Fatal 4-Way match that he was announced for later in the night. It was said during the WWE RAW broadcast that Styles had a lower back injury. It is noted in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Styles is expected to be out of action for about a month.

Styles provided clarity about his status during his live stream on Mixer:

“I’ve got something going on with my AC joint. It’s rubbing up against bone and we thought I had a fracture. It may not be the case, which is a good thing. It may require a shot to keep the swelling down. It’s not a major injury. It’s just wear and tear. Hopefully, it doesn’t keep me out for very long. I can’t stand being out but I haven’t had rest in a long time. So I’m going to take time to rest my body so I can be back. WWE has made sure we’ve dealt with this injury properly. Trust me, I want to be back. I want to earn my money.”

AJ Styles is being advertised for WWE Super ShowDown, Stomping Grounds, Extreme Rules and SummerSlam. Styles wrestled last at the Money In The Bank pay-per-view against Seth Rollins with the Universal Championship on the line.
