Walsh has held a number of regional and domestic titles throughout his career, including the BBBofC British and Commonwealth super featherweight titles. Walsh unsuccessfully challenged for the IBF super featherweight world title in 2017 when he was stopped by Gervonta Davis in the third round. After that loss to Davis, Walsh spent the next two years without fighting and returned on May 11 with a third-round knockout win over journeyman Reynaldo Cajina.
Also announced for the card is welterweight Michael McKinson fighting in a 10-round bout against an unnamed opponent. McKinson, who has won all 16 of his pro bouts, has held the WBC International Silver welterweight title since 2017 and is coming off a 10-round decision against Ryan Kelly back on March 9. The 25-year-old McKinson is ranked No. 28 by the WBC at 147 pounds.
The card will be streamed live on ESPN+ in the United States and news of the rest of the undercard will be be revealed in the coming weeks.
