AJ Styles Initially Thought It Was Too Early To Have A Singles Match Against Seth Rollins
Styles is happy with where he is.
“The Phenomenal” AJ Styles is fresh off a WWE Universal Championship showdown against Seth Rollins at the Money In The Bank pay-per-view. The match was raved about on social media and both Seth and AJ have openly stated that they have further added to the already existing respect that was between them. AJ came over to RAW as a part of the Superstar Shake-Up and with the Wild Card rule in effect, he can also compete on SmackDown Live. With only a month of being a RAW star, AJ initially felt that it was too early to have the match with Seth Rollins but it turned out to be the right decision.
“I think everyone was a little surprised that it came so soon, but it may have been the right decision.” Styles told Newsweek. “At first I thought it was way too soon but, at the same time, now that it’s over it was the right decision.”
Styles announced on March 18th that he signed a new deal with WWE. He further elaborated on that contract and said that it is the last he’ll ever sign because he is fine with where he is in the company.
“I can tell you that this contract that I’ve signed is my last. This is the perfect place for me to be. It’s family-oriented, I have no problem taking my family to the shows. It’s a PG product, which I enjoy. I’m in the best place I can be for my career.” Styles said.
AJ Styles shared during a recent interview that he is intrigued by the new WWE 24/7 Championship that can be read more about by clicking here.
