Ali Doesn’t Think He’ll Do A Traditional Cash-In If He Wins Money In The Bank

Ali knows that his character would not try to go the route of a traditional cash-in.

WWE’s annual Money In The Bank pay-per-view is tonight and with the number of championship matches that are occurring on the night, there are two spotlighted Money In The Bank Ladder matches. One will feature the men and one will feature the women and competing in the men’s Money In The Bank is Ricochet, Baron Corbin, Sami Zayn, Braun Strowman, Randy Orton, Finn Balor, Andrade and Ali. Mustafa Ali and Ricochet are the new guys when it comes to time spent on WWE’s main roster and Ali has had his shot at the WWE Championship but is looking to get back in the hunt with more momentum behind him.

Ali spoke about the possibility of him winning Money In The Bank during an interview with Yahoo! Sports and shared that he does not believe that he will be the one to take the traditional cash-in route if he does emerge victorious from tonight’s match.

“I think that speaks volumes about one’s character, how they would approach that situation and take advantage of that opportunity. I just want a one-on-one WWE Championship opportunity. If I win the contract, I don’t believe I’m the type of person who would cash it in when someone is down. I’d look that person in the eye, tell them when I was cashing it in and make the match official. I realize people may say it’s crazy, but it’s how I want to do it. I don’t want an asterisk next to my name.” He said.

Ali also spoke about the SmackDown representatives in the men’s Money In The Bank Ladder match and talked about what each man brings to the table. He credited Andrade for being a workhouse, Randy for being a veteran and Finn Balor for being an international star that has seemingly done it all.

“You have four guys with really interesting different backgrounds. Randy is this multi-generation star who has been here for quite a while and the fans just know him. When he’s out there you can feel all eyes are on you guys. You have an international star who has competed all around the globe and has taken WWE by storm and is the reigning Intercontinental Champion. You have someone who I consider one of the best workhorses in the world in Andrade. The guy is an absolute stud. Then you have me, the guy who you call a rookie even though I’ve been in the game for 17 years.” He continued, “I’m the new kid on the block when it comes to SmackDown and WWE. I’m bringing all of this heart and desire to win. It’s somewhat refreshing in some aspects.”
