Drew McIntyre Recalls Being Knocked Unconscious By Kofi Kingston During 2010 Money In The Bank Match

Drew McIntyre looks back at his Money In The Bank history.

Former NXT Champion Drew McIntyre is one of eight names in this year’s men’s Money In The Bank Ladder match. Drew will be sharing the ring with Ricochet, Braun Strowman, Baron Corbin, Randy Orton, Andrade, Ali and Finn Balor on May 19th at the Money In The Bank pay-per-view. Drew has experience in the aforementioned specialty match and he had a not-so gracious experience during the 2010 Money In The Bank match during-which he was given a “Boom Drop” that came from the top of a ladder by way of the current WWE Champion Kofi Kingston. Drew reflected on that memory during a phone interview with ‘Vicente Beltrán’ and shared the following details about that July 18th night.

“[I remember] being unconscious. I was lying on the table when Kofi came off the ladder and landed on me. He landed on my chest, slid through onto my head, and I remember waking up, wondering why thousands of people were in my bedroom, and I kinda [started] shaking the cobwebs off and eventually shouting. The referee starts crawling over to me to figure out what’s going on. I quickly got my bearings and remembered I was in a Money In The Bank Ladder match. But that was my first thought, was ‘Why is everybody in my bedroom?'” Drew reflected.

Along with Drew McIntyre, Kofi Kingston will also be in a marquee match at Money In The Bank as he’ll defend his WWE Championship against Kevin Owens.
