Carmella Discusses The Launch Of Her New Wine Capo Cagna
Carmella talks about her new venture outside of wrestling.
While Mella is money inside the ring, she’s looking to increase her cash flow outside of the ring. The former SmackDown Women’s Champion recently launched her new wine Capo Cagna, which loosely translates to Boss Bitch in Italian.
Speaking to Cheddar, Carmella discussed getting into the wine business.
“I wanted to do something new. I’ve been in the ring for five years now and I’m ready to take on a new venture. I never thought I would be a professional wrestler. I worked really hard at it and I feel like I’ve accomplished quite a bit in my five years. I love wine so much and I really wanted to launch my own brand,” she said. “It’s a challenge. To be completely transparent, I don’t know much about the wine industry. I just knew I liked wine so much. My wine partner is teaching me so much. This has been a year in the making. We’re on the road 300 days a year. I’m constantly in rental cars, hotels, airplanes, and I love to have a glass of wine at the end of the night. “

In the same interview, Carmella was asked about the women’s evolution in WWE, specifically the recent WrestleMania 35 main event featuring Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair, and Ronda Rousey.
“It’s incredible to see the journey the women have been on in WWE. To see where we started and see where we’re at now. It’s cool to see everyone breaking barriers. To see that the women closed out WrestleMania, it seemed like such a pipe dream for so long. Even though it was Becky (Lynch), Charlotte (Flair), and Ronda (Rousey), I feel like it was the culmination of every woman’s hard work from the past, present, and the future women training in NXT.”
Carmella is set to participate in the 2019 Women’s Money in the Bank ladder match on May 19.
