Roman Reigns Teases WWE Raw Appearance; WWE Denies His Appearance
Brand split?
Just weeks after being moved to WWE SmackDown in the Superstar Shake-Up, Roman Reigns is already teasing his return to Raw. Reigns was hyped as “The Biggest Acquisition in SmackDown History” and made an immediate impact, laying out Vince McMahon on his first night on the blue brand. Reigns is currently involved in a feud with Elias and the McMahon Family.
I’m back on #SDLive, but I still have some business on #Raw.
I’ll see y’all Monday. #ProtectTheYard— Roman Reigns (@WWERomanReigns) May 4, 2019
Reigns is set to meet Elias in a one-on-one bout at WWE Money in the Bank on May 19.
Prior to moving to SmackDown, Reigns was involved in a feud with Raw superstar Drew McIntyre. He defeated The Scottish Psychopath in singles competition at WrestleMania 35. Reigns also has ties to WWE Universal Champion Seth Rollins. The last time Reigns appeared on Raw, he teamed with AJ Styles & Rollins to defeat Baron Corbin, Bobby Lashley & Drew McIntyre.
The SmackDown brand was scheduled to have a live event on Monday, but the show was pushed back until October.
Following Reigns’ tweet, WWE sent out the following response.
WWE officials have learned of Roman Reigns’ desire to appear on Monday Night Raw, but as of now, and due to his obligations as a Smackdown Live Superstar, he will not be appearing on Monday Night Raw. https://t.co/4P0RNPmZB1
