Tessa Blanchard Shoots Down Rumor That She Made A Scene At WWE Performance Center
Tessa Blanchard wants to clear the air.
On a recent Q&A episode here on Select, we were asked about Tessa Blanchard’s contract and why she didn’t end up working for WWE after the Mae Young Classic. I noted that there were rumors that she’d had attitude issues, citing a story about here causing a scene with ex-boyfriend Ricochet at the WWE Performance Center.
Another website (which subscribes to our service) would later aggregate the story along with a tweet posted by Casey Michael of Squared Circle Sirens in 2017. Casey clarified, later saying that he had heard from several people who refuted the story.
“I said I was wrong about the PC story. I said I was wrong about that and you went through my tweets to find stuff that had nothing to do with that story. She had an attitude at times. I never said the other reports were not true. No one but trainers and another female involved also said it was not true. They reached out to me about it. I rightfully sent her an apology and she explained what actually happened,” said Michael.
Unfortunately, Fightful had never been provided the follow up info, but we did reach out to Tessa Blanchard in regards to the situation.
“I really don’t know where the story started, but it’s a bit humorous. As cool as would have been to workout at the PC after the MYC and create some scene with my ex…I wasn’t there and it never happened. The reason for me working with impact is not because I was declined any job offer — it’s only because that’s what my gut and my heart were telling me to go do. That’s the only story, a woman that isn’t rushing into anything for a paycheck or for fame.. but a woman that just loves pro wrestling,” Blanchard told us.
Blanchard competes on Impact Wrestling, as well as WOW Women Of Wrestling as the latter’s champion.
