Report: Christina Ferguson Drops Restraining Order Against Tony Ferguson

Former UFC Interim Lightweight Champion Tony Ferguson was hit with a temporary restraining order from wife Christina Ferguson this past March, accusing the fighter of domestic violence.

Both husband and wife were expected to appear in court on April 5 for a hearing, but neither Tony or Christina would appear on that day.

That’s because MMA Fighting is reporting that Christina has dropped the temporary restraining order against Tony, but no reason as to why it happened has been cited at this time.

Jeffrey L. Heath serves as Christina’s legal representative and he emailed the following statement to MMA Fighting on the matter:

“There are no matters pending in this case.”

Tony had recently posted through social media that he had passed all medical examinations and was ready for a return to action. However, UFC President Dana White stated that Tony would have to be checked out by UFC approved doctors before returning to the Octagon.

The fighter was last seen in action in the co-main event of UFC 229, scoring a second round TKO win over former UFC Lightweight Champion Anthony Pettis.

No comments have been issued by Tony, Christina or the UFC on the matter at this time.
