Kash Ali Suspended For Six Months After Biting David Price During Fight

The bite seen all over the world has resulted in Kash Ali being suspended for six months.

The British Boxing Board of Control confirmed the suspension as such to BBC Sport and added that Ali has been fined £10,000, which is approximately $13,000. The incident occurred during a fight on the undercard of a Matchroom Boxing card on March 30 in Liverpool, England. Ali got himself disqualified for biting his opponent David Price late in the fifth round. Although Ali didn’t take a bite out of Price’s ear, he did leave a very visible mark on his rival’s torso.

Price landed a big right hand that hurt Ali in the final minute of the round. Ali was wobbly and threw himself at Price at kept going at it until both men went down on the canvas. Ali refused to get up and proceeded to bite Price, prompting the referee to immediately end the contest and award Price the victory. Earlier in the fight, Ali was also deducted a point for hitting behind the head.

Below are images of the bite and a video of the bite can be seen in the video above.

The loss also snapped Ali’s perfect record, which was at 15-0 before the fight against Price. Ali was a former British Boxing Board of Control Central Area heavyweight titleholder.
