Report: Invicta FC Signs Monique Adriane
There is a new threat making her way to the Invicta Fighting Championship atomweight division as Monique Adriane has reportedly signed a multi-fight deal with the promotion.
MMA Fighting first reported the signing, but neglected to mention how many fights the contract is for or any financial numbers associated with the deal.
Adriane (4-1-0) has primarily competed in her home country of Brazil and has already competed once this year, defeating Vanessa Santos by second round TKO at Future FC 3. Adriane has competed five times as a professional MMA fighter and four of those encounters went to the judges scorecards. Adriane has suffered just a single defeat as a professional MMA fighter and that came against Valesca Machado Da Silva at Shooto Brazil 88 in September of 2018. Adriane also went undefeated during a brief run as an amateur MMA fighter, defeating Andressa Pulcino De Lima by unanimous decision at Thunder Fight 9 in September of 2016.
There is no word at this time as to when Adriane will make her promotional debut or whom that bout will come against. Adriane will enter a division that is currently ruled by Jinh Yu Frey, who last defended the gold against Minna Grusander at Invicta FC 33.
