Peyton Royce Supports Tye Dillinger’s Decision To Leave WWE

Peyton Royce just wants her fiancé to be happy.

On Feb. 20, Tye Dillinger went public with his release request from WWE. Days later, he was officially released by the company. Dillinger expressed his desire to grow as a performer and, because he wasn’t being used often on television, felt he wasn’t showing enough of himself. Dillinger is currently riding out his 90-day non-compete clause but has already filled up his calendar with Independent bookings

Appearing on Chasing Glory with Lilian Garcia, Dillinger’s fiancée Peyton Royce discussed The Perfect 10 leaving WWE.

“He’s the most supportive man. Even at WrestleMania, he was right outside gorilla when we got backstage. He was the one face I wanted to see and he was right there. I get homesick but I get to go home to my fiancé. He wanted to wrestle. He loves wrestling,” said Royce. “He’s gonna make himself happy and do that. He used to ask me, ‘what do you think (about leaving)?’ I told him, ‘I just want you to be happy. Whatever that is, you do that and I will support you. I need you to be happy.'”

During the interview, it was revealed that Dillinger would often travel with Royce & Billie Kay to events. That anecdote prompted Kay to joke, “People thought he had two girlfriends.”

Dillinger and Royce are set to be married this August.
