Velveteen Dream To Defend NXT North American Title Against Buddy Murphy On Tonight’s Episode
Another title match added to tonight’s NXT.
WWE announced that Velveteen Dream will put his NXT North American Title on the line against Buddy Murphy on tonight’s episode of NXT. The rivalry between the two started at WrestleMania 35, with Dream making fun of Murphy for just losing his Cruiserweight Title to Tony Nese. Dream stated that Murphy took the “biggest L of WrestleMania Weekend.” You can view video of the incident in the tweet below.

Murphy is a former NXT Tag Team Champion but has not appeared on the brand since moving to 205 Live in August 2018. He was recently moved to SmackDown Live as part of the Superstar Shake-Up.
Dream vs. Murphy isn’t the only title match on tonight’s episode as Shayna Baszler will defend her NXT Women’s Title against Kairi Sane in a bout where, if Sane loses, she will not be granted another title shot.
Fightful will have live coverage of NXT beginning tonight at 8 p.m. ET.
