WWE Confirms Nia Jax Will Undergo Surgery To Repair Torn ACLs In Both Knees

Big injury for Nia Jax.

**UPDATE**

WWE has pushed out a notification confirming that Nia Jax will undergo surgery to repair both of her ACLs.

According to Pro Wrestling Sheet, Nia Jax has ACL tears in both knees and is set to undergo surgery. There is no timetable for her return. Jax tweeted a photo of herself today with the caption “I’ll be gone for a while. Here’s something to remember me by.”

Nia put out the following statement on social media shortly after:

“Some of you may or may not know, but I will be out of action for a little while. Unfortunately, I have been pushing through some pain over the last year due to injuries in my knees and I will be undergoing surgery to repair both of my ACLs. I’m grateful to everyone who has supported me! Thank you!”

She last wrestled this past Sunday at WrestleMania 35, teaming with Tamina and losing to The IIconics in a fatal four-way women’s bout that also featured Beth Phoenix & Natalya and Sasha Banks & Bayley.

Nia has been teaming with Tamina for the majority of 2019 as WWE jump-started the women’s tag team division with the introduction of the Women’s Tag Team Titles. She also made history this past January in the Royal Rumble, becoming the first woman to compete in the men’s and women’s Royal Rumble matches.

It’s been a rough couple of days for WWE superstars as yesterday it was announced that Big E suffered a torn meniscus and would be out of action for a bit.
