AXS TV KICKS OFF TWO-PART ‘G1 SUPERCARD’ SPECIAL FRIDAY, APRIL 12 WITH IWGP HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP CLASH BETWEEN JAY WHITE AND KAZUCHIKA OKADA

Los Angeles (April 11, 2019) – AXS TV’s two-part special from the historic G1 SUPERCARD, a co-promotion between Ring of Honor and New Japan Pro Wrestling, premieres this Friday, April 12 at 8pE/5pP with two hours of strong-style action headlined by the anticipated IWGP Heavyweight Championship clash between Jay White and Kazuchika Okada.

Rounding out the first part of the special, IWGP Intercontinental Champion Tetsuya Naito takes on rival Kota Ibushi and British Heavyweight Champion Zack Sabre Jr. puts his title on the line against Hiroshi Tanahashi.

Next week, AXS TV premieres two more hours from the G1 SUPERCARD on Friday, April 19 at 8pE/5pP. Featured matches include ROH World Champion Jay Lethal defending his title in a three-way match with Matt Taven and Marty Scurll; the three-way IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Title Match between champion Taiji Ishimori, Dragon Lee and Bandido; the winner takes all four-way tag team match between IWGP Tag Team Champions Guerillas of Destiny (Tama Tanga & Tanga Loa), ROH World Tag Team Champions Villain Enterprises (PCO & Brody King), Los Ingobernables de Japon (Evil & Sanda) and The Briscoe Brothers (Jay & Mark Briscoe); and NEVER Openweight Champion Will Ospreay vs. ROH World TV Champion Jeff Cobb.
