Korean Zombie Is Back, And Wants To Fight A Legend

It has been nearly three years since UFC fans have seen the “Korean Zombie” Chan Sung Jung in the octagon, but that's about to change.

After missing three years of cage time due to mandatory service in the South Korean Military, Jung is ready to resume his UFC career. He has an opponent in mind in UFC Hall Of Famer BJ Penn.

The Korean Zombie recently released a promotional video for his return, which you can see below

Here is a translation of the video (provided by MMA Fighting):

“For the past six months, there's a fighter that I've been wanting to fight: BJ Penn. When the BJ Penn (vs. Ricardo) Lamas fight was announced, I thought I missed my chance. But, then I heard that BJ Penn had a rib injury, so I kind of felt like maybe it was an opportunity for me. It would be great timing if BJ Penn and I were ready to come back at the same time.”

Jung (13-4-0) has won three of his past four fights under the UFC banner. His last fight was a featherweight title fight loss to then champion Jose Aldo at UFC 163. Penn on the other hand, has been trying to return to the cage for a year now, but injuries and USADA violations have kept that return from coming to fruition.
