Two Big Welterweight Fights Set For Rousey-Led UFC 207
UFC 207 will see the return of Ronda Rousey, and it's being loaded up with top-15 fights.
Former UFC Welterweight Champion Johny Hendricks will return to the cage at the Las Vegas event on December 30, taking on Neil Magny. #7 Hendricks (17-5) has had a rough go of it of late, losing two straight fights, and four of his last six. #9 Magny (18-5) has fared much better, winning ten of twelve fights in the same span of Hendricks' six.
Hendricks was bested by Kelvin Gastelum at UFC 200, and finished by Stephen Thompson in February. Magny lost to the surging Lorenz Larkin in August at UFC 202, but had big back-to-back wins over Gastelum and Hector Lombard prior.
#14-ranked Matt Brown (22-15) will also face #13 Tarec Saffiedine (16-5) on the show. Brown has dropped four of his last five fights, while the former Strikeforce welterweight champion Saffiedine is 2-2 during his nearly three year UFC run.
The fights were first revealed by ESPN's Brett Okamoto. UFC 207 takes place on December 30 from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. The card will be headlined by a returning Ronda Rousey taking on UFC Bantamweight Champion Amanda Nunes.
