Marlon Moraes Claims That Henry Cejudo Doesn’t Care About The Flyweights

Marlon Moraes and UFC Flyweight Champion Henry Cejudo will clash for the vacant UFC Bantamweight Title at UFC 238.

Even though Cejudo claims to want to save the UFC Flyweight Division, it simply isn’t true according to Moraes.

“Henry has such a big ego,” Moraes told MMA Junkie. “Everybody around him knows that. He likes everything for him. He wants to be a two-division champ. He’s not fighting for the (flyweight) division. He’s fighting for himself. We fight for ourselves. But he’s just not saying that. He’s trying to say he’s a good guy, but he’s not.”

Reports have surfaced that the UFC is eliminating the men’s flyweight division, but it is still around at this time.

Moraes even claims that Cejudo hit the lottery by getting the opportunity to compete for the vacant bantamweight title at UFC 238.

“Unfortunately, he hit the lottery,” Moraes said. “He’s next. I was looking to fight different guys – 135 pounders. But he stepped up. Hats off to him. But after the fight, he’s going to regret it.”

UFC 238 takes place on Saturday, June 8 from the United Center in Chicago, Illinois with Henry Cejudo and Marlon Moraes headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
