Dana White Not A Fan Of The UFC Going Public
Endeavor, who the parent company of the UFC, is reportedly taking the company public sometime this year.
UFC President Dana White, who recently signed a new seven year contract with the promotion, isn’t a fan of the UFC potentially going public under the Endeavor auspices.
“I’ve never been a fan of the UFC going public,” said on 8 News NOW Las Vegas (via Jesse Holland of MMA Mania). “Can you picture me running a public company? No, I can’t either.”
The UFC has been a privately held company since it was created in 1993, even after it changed owners multiple times during the course of it’s existence.
White also doesn’t think he will last too long as the UFC President if the promotion does go public later this year as part of the Endeavor brand.
“Let’s take some bets on how long I’ll last in a public company. What’s the over-under on that one?,” says White.
If Endeavor does go public later this year, it would make the UFC’s financial information and other previously private information available to the public.
