Triple H Expects Crisscrossing Of Brands To Settle Down After WrestleMania
Triple H discusses the recent “pause” on the brand split.
As fans have noticed over the last month or so, the brand split isn’t exactly keeping wrestlers exclusive to one brand. Aleister Black & Ricochet are appearing on all three brands, The IIconics wrestled on Raw last night, Kurt Angle is showing up to SmackDown, Rey Mysterio and Samoa Joe are appearing on Raw, and Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair just do whatever they want. The brand crossing seemingly started in December, when NXT call-ups Heavy Machinery, Lacey Evans, and EC3 appeared on both Raw and SmackDown as part of an “evaluation period” to see which brand they fit best.
Speaking on an NXT media call last week, Triple H discussed wrestlers appearing on multiple shows, specifically regarding the recent NXT call-ups.
“It is to be determined. Some of the call ups right now, there’s a crisscrossing of stuff that is taking place. Some of that will settle down after WrestleMania but nothing has been written in stone as to where anybody goes. We’re gonna have to wait and see.”
WWE will hold an International Superstar Shake-Up on Apr. 15 and 16 where multiple superstars will likely switch brands.
