Bob Arum: Terence Crawford Is Ready To Fight Errol Spence Jr. Next After Amir Khan
Bob Arum appears to be interested in making Terence Crawford vs. Errol Spence Jr. later this year.
Arum took to Twitter to call out both Spence and PBC founder Al Haymon to see if both are interested in making a deal to have Spence, the IBF welterweight champion, face off against Crawford, the current WBO champion. This would all be contingent on Crawford successfully retaining his title against Amir Khan on April 20.
@ErrolSpenceJr said that he is ready to fight @terencecrawford. We are ready to do that next, once Bud is successful against @amirkingkhan on April 20. It’s what fight fans want. Al, should I call you or will you call me? @premierboxing

When the tweet was sent, questions about the legitimacy of the author was put into question with some believing that Arum doesn’t write his own tweets. Arum ended the speculation of his Twitter activity in a recent media conference call saying that he does write his own tweets and is a big fan of the platform.
“Everyone works Twitter. Even the President knows how to work Twitter. I am a big fan of Twitter… I plead guilty to writing my own tweets. I use Twitter better than [Donald Trump],” Arum said.
This isn’t the first time a tweet from Arum’s account talked about Spence this month, but the last time such a tweet was published was a negative one towards Spence’s last opponent Mikey Garcia. Spence dominated Garcia on March 16 to retain the IBF title with a wide unanimous decision win. Arum tweeted that Khan will provide a better fight for Crawford than Garcia did for Spence.
Unlike Mikey Garcia, Amir Khan goes into a fight intending to win. His boxing ability, which is phenomenal, could give Terence Crawford fits. He is capable of pulling the upset.

Such a fight would pit arguably the two best welterweights in the world in a rare joint venture between PBC and Top Rank. Crawford’s fight against Khan will headline an ESPN pay-per-view event from Madison Square Garden.
