Kurt Angle vs. Samoa Joe Set For WWE Raw, Reigniting Historic TNA Feud
Kurt Angle is locking up with one of his biggest rivals one more time.
Angle is set for a farewell match against Baron Corbin at WrestleMania 35 in two weeks, but he’s making the rounds before that. As announced yesterday, he’ll face AJ Styles on Tuesday’s episode of Smackdown Live, but WWE has lifted their brand-split to make another match happen in Angle vs. United States Champion Samoa Joe on WWE Monday Night Raw.
You can see WWE’s announcement of the match below.

Angle and Samoa Joe have been connected for well over a dozen years. Upon Angle’s entry into TNA Wrestling in 2006, the two feuded in one of the biggest rivalries in that company’s history. In all, they’d end up working with or against each other 80 times, but are best known for the Angle headbutt that cracked open Samoa Joe, and the feud that would follow. Their matches at TNA Genesis 2006, Turning Point 2006 and Lockdown 2008 all received high praise.
In televised singles matches ahead of WWE Raw, both men are 5-5 with one no contest against each other.
