Kofi Kingston Says 205 Live Is One Of The Best Kept Secrets In WWE

Kofi Kingston praises the abilities of Apollo Crews and the stars of 205 Live.

Kofi Kingston has been the focus of the “Kofi Mania” movement that came to the forefront after SmackDown Live’s Mustafa Ali was pulled from the Elimination Chamber match and Kofi went on to fill in for Ali and wrestled for one hour in a Gauntlet match on SmackDown and was a second away from winning the WWE Championship at Elimination Chamber. Following that, Kofi was set to challenge Daniel Bryan for the WWE Championship at Fastlane but due to Vince McMahon not approving of Kofi as a main-event talent in storyline and stacking the deck against Kingston, he missed out on the WWE Title match at Fastlane and an opportunity to challenge for the title at WrestleMania.

New Day expressed their thoughts about their positions in the company with social media posts and although Kofi has his own business to sort out, he is happy to see other stars get the spotlight such as Apollo Crews who wrestled WWE Hall Of Famer Kurt Angle on RAW two weeks ago. Kofi Kingston spoke to the ‘Independent’ and sung the praises of Apollo and talked about 205 Live being one of the best kept secrets in WWE.

“I am happy to see Apollo Crews getting some time [on television]; he had a real good match with Kurt Angle on RAW last week. He is super athletic and super talented, so for him to get a chance to shine is awesome.” Kofi continued, “I’ve always said that 205 Live is one of the best-kept secrets in WWE. If you watch that show, and see the quality and caliber of athletes on that show, it’s amazing. The things they can do and the stories they can tell in the ring. There’s a lot of talent out there man. It’s tough because, oftentimes, not all of that talent can’t get used, so I’m always happy to see guys that don’t get used a lot, get used and get a chance to really show their abilities on television.”

The man who labels himself “The Best Kept Secret” is the current WWE Cruiserweight Champion Buddy Murphy. Murphy is set to defend his Cruiserweight Title at WrestleMania against his former ally Tony Nese. Fightful’s own Joe Hulbert wrote a detailed feature about Tony Nese and to read that, click here.
