**UPDATE**

PWInsider reports that Drake’s contract expires in late May.

A look at Eli Drake‘s contract situation with IMPACT Wrestling.

According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Eli Drake‘s contract with IMPACT is set to expire at the end of April/beginning of May. A firm date was not given. Johnson reports that there is “absolutely interest in him elsewhere.”

Eli Drake has been with TNA/IMPACT since 2015. He is a former IMPACT World Champion, World Tag Team Champion, and King of the Mountain Champion. He was scheduled to face Tessa Blanchard at IMPACT United We Stand on Apr. 4, but pulled out of the match as he didn’t want to participate in an intergender bout. Joey Ryan was named as his replacement.

Drake is currently involved in a storyline with Eddie Edwards where the two have formed an unlikely tag team.

IMPACT Wrestling has been on a signing spree as of late, announcing that they’ve locked up the likes of Eddie Edwards, Rosemary, Moose, Sami Callihan, and more to multi-year deals. The deals were reportedly made in October but announced just recently. Despite their string of signings, the company decided against renewing Allie’s deal at the end of 2018.
