WWE Hall Of Famer “Bullet” Bob Armstrong Wrestled His Final Match At 79 Years Old
Bob Armstrong has wrapped up his tenure in the sport of professional wrestling.
WWE Hall Of Famer and multi-time NWA Champion “Bullet” Bob Armstrong had his last match over the weekend in Pensacola, Florida as noted in F4WOnline’s Daily Update. Bob Armstrong began his career in the 1960s and wrestled sporadically once he hit the 30-year mark in the business.
In the summer of 2018, the ACW Sport Arena page promoted “Bullet” Bob’s retirement tour which included the six-man tag he was involved in at GPW’s Arn Anderson Homecoming Party event in October.
After spending 30 years in the business, Armstrong went into “semi-retirement” and once served as the commissioner of Smokey Mountain Wrestling. Throughout the 2000s he made a number of appearances for TNA where he had the opportunity to work with his son and WWE producer and head creative writer Brian “Road Dogg” James. Prior to his last two matches, Armstrong last competed during the summer of 2017 in a tag match for the ‘Sunbelt Wrestling Entertainment’ promotion where he teamed with Tommy Rich to defeat the duo of Fidel Sierra and Francisco Ciatso. Two years later the former NWA North American Heavyweight Champion has put the final touches on his career after 59 years in the business.
