Lacey Evans Says She Was Not Told About What She Was Doing At The Royal Rumble Until The Day Of
Lacey Evans was not made aware of what she was doing at the Royal Rumble until she arrived at the venue but she was prepared for anything.
The self-proclaimed “Lady Of WWE” Lacey Evans has made her presence felt on the main roster since the announcement that she was going to be one of six NXT call-ups making their way to either RAW or SmackDown Live. Lacey Evans has not competed in the ring on WWE TV yet but she makes appearances on RAW or on pay-per-views and exits camera’s view once she makes it to the ringside area.
Lacey Evans did wrestle in the second-ever Women’s Royal Rumble match this past January and lasted over twenty minutes in the match. Lacey recalled that experience when she joined the Gorilla Position podcast and said that she did not find out her plans for the Royal Rumble until the day of and also found out that she was going to be cutting a promo before the match started as well. Evans added that although there was little time to prepare, she was ready for everything that was coming her way and wanted to make the best out of it.
“Well, as soon as I got there, we didn’t know much of anything. We didn’t know what was gonna happen. There was some speculation but I was told that I was going first and so obviously, the excitement and nerves took over immediately.” Evans recalled. “But I’m ready for this. NXT really prepped me for taking on any challenges so I just knew that I had an opportunity and I needed to make the best of it and then when I was told I had a promo, on top of being first, that really, I was like, ‘Lord, well. There’s only one thing I can do is say thank you and take the reigns and do the best that I can.’”
Lacey Evans credits her experience in the Marine Corps for helping her deal with pressure and she spoke about dealing with pressure during a recent interview and to check out Fightful’s published article about said interview, click here.
