Report: Max Griffin Faces Zelim Imadaev At UFC 236

A welterweight division attraction has been added to UFC 236 according to Brett Okamoto of ESPN as Max Griffin is going to be in action against Zelim Imadaev.

Griffin (14-6-0) has won just one of his last four under the UFC banner, with that lone win coming over Mike Perry at UFC On Fox 28. Griffin hasn’t picked up a victory in over a year, with that last win at UFC On Fox 28 coming back in February of 2018. Griffin has seen his last four fights go the distance and it has been over two years since the fighter got a finish.

Imadaev (8-0-0) is going to be making his UFC debut in this bout and does so with an undefeated streak that has lasted almost three years. Imadaev has picked up eight wins as a professional MMA fighter and all of those victories have come by way of KO/TKO. Imadaev is also returning to action for the first time in over a year, as his last bout happened in March of 2018.

UFC 236 takes place on Saturday, April 13 from the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia with Max Holloway and Dustin Poirier headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
