Report: PFL Season 2 Women’s Lightweight Field Set

The women’s lightweight division field has been set for the second season on the PFL according to ESPN, with those competitors being Kayla Harrison, Invicta FC Bantamweight Champion Sarah Kaufman, Genah Fabian, Bobbi-Jo Dalziel, Svetlana Khautova, Roberta Samad, UFC veteran Larissa Pacheco and Morgan Frierr.

Harrison (3-0-0) has spent her entire professional MMA career in the PFL and is a two time Olympic gold medalist. Kaufman (20-4-0-1NC) is the current Invicta FC Bantamweight Champion and a former Strikeforce Women’s Bantamweight Champion, plus is a veteran of UFC competition. Fabian (1-0-0) hasn’t competed in a professional MMA fight in over three years, but is a muay thai world champion. Dalziel (3-0-0) hasn’t competed in a professional MMA fight in over two years, but holds a win over Bellator MMA/PFL veteran Jozette Cotton.

Khautova (2-0-0) is going to be competing for the first time in over two years and is a veteran of the Fight Nights Global promotion. Samad (4-1-0) is competing for the first time in over three years and has previously fought in Bellator MMA. Pacheco (11-2-0) is competing for the first time in over a year and went winless during a two fight stint in the UFC. Frier (4-1-0) is competing for the first time in over a year and has earned all four pro MMA wins via first round finish.

All the women’s lightweight division action is expected to kick off on Thursday, May 9, but the first set of fights for each competitor has yet to be announced.
