Colby Covington Says Nate Diaz Flipped Him Off At UFC 235

Former UFC Interim Welterweight Champion Colby Covington made his presence felt before, during and after UFC 235.

The former champion started off the week by heckling newly crowned welterweight champion Kamaru Usman at the open workouts. Then Covington would confront Usman again after his title victory, as the duo exchanged a few words as Usman was exiting the Octagon. The confrontations between the two would end the following day as the two had a physical confrontation at a buffet in Las Vegas.

However, it would appear that Usman wasn’t the only fighter to get some attention from Covington during the weekend.

Covington was apparently flipped off by fellow UFC fighter Nate Diaz as the two walked by each other during the UFC 235 event.

“Our skill level is way apart from each other. He’s a bottom feeder,” said Covington on Ariel Helwani’s MMA Show (via Adam Guillen Jr. of MMA Mania). “It was funny because he walked by me and he said, ‘Fuck you Colby.’ And he flipped me off when I was sitting front row and he walked by cageside. It’s just funny. keep that energy Nate. If you’re so tough, let’s see it inside the cage, bitch.”

Diaz hasn’t commented on the situation at this time and hasn’t been seen in the Octagon since a loss to former two division UFC champion Conor McGregor at UFC 202.
