Togi Makabe, Toru Yano, Ayato Yoshida, Shota Umino and Ren Narita vs. Bullet Club (Bad Luck Fale, Tama Tonga, Tanga Loa, Chase Owens and Hikuleo)

Bullet Club worked over Narita in the early portion of the match. Narita finally found an opening to make the hot tag to Makabe. The Young Lions triple teamed Chase Owens, who ended up outsmarting them by moving out of the way of running corner attacks. Owens hit a package piledriver to get the victory of his team. No Yano fun. 

Winners – Bullet Club (Bad Luck Fale, Tama Tonga, Tanga Loa, Chase Owens and Hikuleo)

Yuji Nagata and Toa Henare vs. Tomohiro Ishii and YOSHI-HASHI

Nagata and Ishii kick things off with a short exchange. Even when Nagata tagged out, Ishii still went after him. Henare and YOSHI both tagged in. Henare used his power to gain control. While they battled, Ishii and Nagata decided they were going to keep fighting each other on the outside. YOSHI gained control on the outside, throwing Henare into the railing. Henare turned things around with a spear, leading to more Ishii vs. Nagata beating the crap out of each other, which the crowd was heavy into. YOSHI tried to disrupt Nagata from inflicting pain on Ishii and Nagata dismissed him for being foolish. Henare and YOSHI tagged back in, Nagata and Ishii kept fighting on the outside, YOSHI hit a fisherman brainbuster on Henare for the win. After the match, Nagata and Ishii kept talking that mess towards each other.

Winners – Tomohiro Ishii and YOSHI-ISHI

Satoshi Kojima, Tomoaki Honma, Tiger Mask IV, Ryusuke Taguchi and Dragon Lee vs. Minoru Suzuki, Taichi, Yoshinobu Kanemaru, El Desperado and Taka Michinoku

Dragon Lee and Desperado got things off to a hot start. Things broke down on the outside as Desperado tried to rip off Tiger Mask’s mask in the ring. Tiger Mask hits the Tiger Driver on Kanemaru and gets the tag to Honma. Honma and Taichi work a short series before Kojima and Suzuki tag in. Kojima claw chops Suzuki, opening up a trickle of blood on Suzuki’s chest. This only serves to anger Suzuki. Taguchi gets tagged in and is worked over by all five members of Suzuki-gun. Things break down. Taguchi hits the Bomaye, but Taka kicks out. He follows up with the Dodon for the win. 

Winners – Satoshi Kojima, Tomoaki Honma, Tiger Mask IV, Ryusuke Taguchi and Dragon Lee

IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championship: Shingo Takagi and BUSHI (c) vs. SHO and YOH

Roppongi get off to a hot start that includes stereo tope con hilo’s. Roppongi work over Shingo, trying to focus on the knee. Shingo and BUSHI gain the advantage with Shingo tossing SHO hard into the railing. The champs work over SHO, who is finally able to get the tag to YOH after hitting a spear. YOH goes back to the knee of Shingo, locking in a figure four, but Shingo gets the ropes. BUSHI gets the tag and works a nice back-and-forth with YOH. SHO back in and gets double teamed by the champs. They go for Rebellion but YOH makes the save. Roppongi goes for 3K on BUSHI, who counters and hits a double hurricanrana. SHO gets caught up fighting Shingo, the illegal man. BUSHI blinds SHO with the mist. Rebellion connects, but YOH with the save for a great near fall. Despite being blinded, SHO is able to catch BUSHI going for a Codebreaker to set up the 3K for the win. 

Winners – SHO and YOH (New IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champions)

IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship: Taiji Ishimori (c) vs. Jushin Thunder Liger 

Liger gets off to a good start, outwrestling Ishimori to take control. Ishimori turns the tables and controls Liger. They battle to the outside and Liger hits a brainbuster on the outside, leading to the teased countout spot. Liger hits the top rope frankensteiner and goes for a Liger Bomb, but Ishimori counters with a DDT. Ishimori uses his speed to get the advantage but Liger turns things around with the palm strike. Liger hits the Liger Bomb but Ishimori kicks out. Ishimori blocks the capo kick and turns it into the yes lock. Liger fights through and gets the ropes. Liger nearly catches a couple of flash pinfalls but Ishimori kicks out and regains the Yes Lock, forcing Liger to tap in the middle of the ring.

Winner – Taiji Ishimori (Still IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion)

Ishimori issues a challenge after the match. Dragon Lee accepts the bout. It sounds like the match will take place at ROH-NJPW G1 Supercard. 

Hiroshi Tanahashi, Kazuchika Okada and Hirooki Goto vs. Tetsuya Naito, EVIL and SANADA

Okada and Naito start with a back-and-forth opening sequence. Tanahashi tags into for a triple team spot on SANADA. LIJ turn things around and work over the knee of Tanahashi. Tanahashi fights off LIJ to get the tag to Okada. Okada works a quick sequence with EVIL before SANADA and Goto tag in. LIJ triple team Goto. Things break down and Goto ties up SANADA for the pinfall victory. 

Winners – Hiroshi Tanahashi, Kazuchika Okada and Hirooki Goto

Goto, Tanahashi, and Okada all believe they will win the New Japan Cup.

IWGP Heavyweight Champion Jay White vs. NEVER Openweight Champion Will Ospreay

White uses his intellect and size to gain the early advantage. Ospreay uses his speed to turn things around but a distraction from Gedo helps White regain control. White works over Ospreay for an extended period, keeping him grounded and methodically working over the ribs. Ospreay tries to find an opening and goes up top, but White cuts him off. Ospreay finally takes control, hitting a springboard moonsault press to the outside followed by pip pip cheerio. Ospreay continues to use his speed and aerial arsenal until he goes for a suicide dive, which White turns into a slam against the railing for the teased countout. Great back-and-forth exchange ends with White hitting a deadlift german suplex and Ospreay coming back with a standing spanish fly. Ospreay wins a couple of striking exchanges and then hits an avalanche electric chair flip. Ospreay goes to the Oscutter but White counters with trapping elbows. Ospreay counters Blade Runner with a reverse rana and a sick slicing elbow to the back of the head. Ospreay goes for the spinning elbow to the back of the head, Gedo distracts and White hits a low blow. Ospreay counters Blade Runner with a powerbomb then hits a reverse 450 but White gets the ropes. A series of reversals ends with White countering the Oscutter with a Blade Runner and another Blade Runner for the victory.

Winner – Jay White

White goes to hit Ospreay with a chair after the match but Ibushi makes the save. Bullet Club is out to save their leader. Tanahashi, Okada, and Goto even things up as Bullet Club retreats. Goto, Ibushi, Ospreay, Okada, and Tanahashi all point to themselves to signify they will win the New Japan Cup.
