Report: Nick Negumereanu Replaces Gokhan Saki At UFC Fight Night London
Saparbek Safarov needed a new opponent for UFC Fight Night London after the withdrawal of Gokhan Saki and now he has one, as Nolan King of Flo Combat has reported that Nick Negumereanu has accepted the short notice opportunity.
Safarov (8-2-0) is currently winless in UFC competition, dropping bouts to the duo of Gian Villante and Tyson Pedro. Safarov won a total of eight fights outside of the UFC, which includes a victory over UFC veteran Rodney Wallace at WFCA 17. Safarov has competed ten times as a professional MMA fighter and none of his bouts have gone the distance.
Negumereanu (9-0-0) is going to be making his UFC debut in this bout and does so with an undefeated streak that has lasted over two years. Negumereanu has competed nine times as a professional MMA fighter and none of those bouts went past the second round. Negumereanu has primarily competed in the RXA MMA promotion, with only one appearance happening in the Superior FC organization.
UFC Fight Night London takes place on Saturday, March 16 from the 02 Arena in London, England with Darren Till and Jorge Masvidal headlining. Fightful is going to be providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+.
