Dean Ambrose No Longer Advertised For May Tour; WWE Hoping Roman Reigns Can Be “Dean Whisperer”
Latest details on Dean Ambrose’s status in WWE.
**UPDATE**
WWE has now removed Dean Ambrose from all advertising on their May European tour.
**ORIGINAL**
WWE is currently advertising Ambrose for their European tour in May. The tour begins on May 8 and runs through May 19. As previously confirmed by WWE, Ambrose’s contract with the company expires in April and he has made the decision not to renew his deal.
WWE is not advertising Ambrose for the May 6 Raw in Ambrose’s hometown of Cincinnati, Ohio. However, he is being advertised for the May 13 Raw in London. He is not being advertised for every show on the European tour.
As always, the card is subject to change.
Ambrose reportedly turned down a five-year deal with a seven-figure downside, reportedly telling WWE management that he is not interested in negotiating a new contract and isn’t holding out for more money.
Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp reports that WWE is hoping Roman Reigns can be the “Dean Whisper” backstage. It is no secret that Reigns is one of Ambrose’s best friends on the roster with the two being travel partners over the years. Fightful reported on Monday that Ambrose was very emotional while Roman was sharing the positive news about his return.
