Two More Fights Set For Bellator 165 Main Card
The upcoming Bellator 165 card is shaping, with two additions to the main card, as Linton Vassell takes on Francis Carmont and Brandon Girtz faces Adam Piccolotti.
Vassell (16-5-0) has rotated wins and losses in his last five UFC appearances, with his last bout being a win over Emanuel Newton at Bellator 149. Vassell also competed in the one-night light heavyweight tournament at Bellator MMA: Dynamite, losing to King Mo in the opening round.
Carmont (25-11-0) has won three of four under the Bellator MMA banner, with the most notable win coming over Guilherme Viana at Bellator 135. Carmont made it to the finals of the aforementioned light heavyweight tournament as an alternate, but he lost to Phil Davis in the finals.
Girtz (14-4-0) will enter the fight riding a three fight winning streak, which includes a win over UFC veteran Melvin Guillard at Bellator 141. Prior to signing with Bellator MMA in 2012, Girtz also fought three other UFC veterans in Drew Dober, Alvin Robinson and Eric Wisely.
Piccolotti (8-0-0) will be making his fifth appearance for the promotion, his last appearance was a win over Ray Wood by submission at Bellator 154. Picccolotti also competed in the Dragon House MMA promotion, with he got a finish in three of his four fights in the promotion.
Bellator 165 takes place on Saturday, November 19th from the SAP Center in San Jose, California with Michael Chandler and Ben Henderson headlining.
