Nick Jackson: Going To WWE Would Have Been The Easy Way Out For Kenny Omega
Nick Jackson defends Kenny Omega’s choice of AEW over WWE.
Very few were surprised when Kenny Omega showed up to the AEW Double or Nothing Ticket Announcement Party last Thursday. Omega announced that he officially joined All Elite Wrestling and would be taking on an in-ring role as well as a front office role as Executive Vice President.
In a social media post, Nick Jackson welcomed Omega to AEW.
We couldn’t start AEW without this man. Matt, myself, and Kenny have been trying to change wrestling for the better since 2015 when we formed The Elite. Now is the time and we couldn’t be more excited for the challenge. pic.twitter.com/rDVQKMSnAZ

A fan questioned how much of a challenge AEW would be for Omega and Nick took exception to the question.
Challenge? He going to be AEW WORLD CHAMPION and main event every single time. If He want a challenge he should go WWE

Of course it’s a challenge you ignorant human being. We’re trying to give Wrestling it’s first true alternative in 2 decades. The easy way out was become a millionaire and go to the wwe.

In an appearance on Wrestling Observer Radio, Omega detailed his free agent thought process and why he decided to join AEW over WWE and NJPW. Speaking to the media after the Ticket Announcement, Nick and Cody Rhodes revealed that Kenny was a bigger part of All In than he was given credit for while discussing their shared Executive Vice President role in AEW.
