Brandi Rhodes: It’s Been Easy To Recruit Female Wrestlers To AEW
Brandi Rhodes doesn’t have to work too hard to find talent for All Elite Wrestling.
At Thursday’s AEW Double or Nothing Ticket Announcement Party, Brandi revealed four more female talents signed to AEW. First, she announced that Yuka Sakazaki and Aja Kong will be appearing at Double or Nothing in May. Next, she introduced new signings Kylie Rae and Nyla Rose. AEW had previously announced the signings of Penelope Ford and Britt Baker.
Speaking to the media following the party, Brandi discussed how easy it is for her to recruit female talent to AEW.
“I don’t mean to brag, but it’s been incredibly easy. Every conversation that has been had is so positive. I don’t have to sell anybody on anything. Most of the time, women reach out to me, which is amazing. It already takes half the job away from me,” said Brandi. “They’re excited about it and they’re looking to start to talk and I’m like, ‘Hey, I have this list and you’re on it.’ It’s a good problem to have to have a lot of people interested. In every situation you’re going to have more people interested than you have room for. We have that going on now. But it’s great. Literally every person that’s reach out has been fantastic. We wanna make sure that everybody is treated great. I don’t want to sign 800 people and they can’t do anything and they sit around or do something meaningless.”
