Brandi Rhodes Clarifies That She’ll Continue Wrestling And Explains Her Role As CBO Of AEW

Brandi Rhodes discusses her role as Chief Brand Officer of All Elite Wrestling and much more.

The Chief Brand Officer of All Elite Wrestling Brandi Rhodes has a vision for the women’s division of the start-up wresting company. She was assigned the position in early January upon the announcement of AEW launching and has done a number of interviews heading into ‘Double Or Nothing’ on May 25th in Las Vegas. One of the outlets that Brandi has spoken with is ‘Black Wrestling Alliance’ and she was asked about her responsibilities as Chief Brand Officer and stated that people seem to think that she is no longer going to wrestle seeing as how she is in this high-ranking position within a company and added that her experiences is going to help shape AEW’s women’s division into what the company wants it to be.

“First of all, I think people are confused as to whether I am still competing and I will, absolutely, still be competing. Aside from that… I have a hand, definitely in the Women’s Division and fortunately there are a few people in our group that I’m sharing some of the responsibilities with. It’s a collaborative effort, creatively. There’s not just one person.” Brandi shared. “I have a vested interest in it. I have spent my last few years training and aggressively becoming the best wrestler that I can and I will continue to do that but at the same time I’ve been in every major locker room of the professional wrestling world. I’ve seen people be happy, I’ve seen them unhappy. I’ve seen things make sense and not makes sense.” She continued, “I’ve gained a lot of experience, learned a lot by sitting in all of these locker rooms in different rolls. It definitely will help in terms of what we want this women’s division to be.”

Brandi elaborated on the Chief Brand Officer role and shared that it is not just her seeing over a specific role but she will also be involved in marketing, partnerships and mixing in with other departments within AEW.

“This is a role that is a newer role in a lot of larger companies. Each company tailors it to how they want it to work. In my instance, I have a lot of work that I’ll be doing with partnerships, a lot of outreach and a little bit of marketing.” Brandi explained. “Some of those roles are shared with other departments. What people will see coming from me are more of the partnership aspects and the rest of the stuff is kind of behind the scenes. It’s really important for us for people to see what AEW is and one of the best ways to show that is by who we link up with and the kinds of things we do.”
