Tommaso Ciampa Says Matt Riddle, Keith Lee And Dominik Dijakovic Push Him To Be Better

Tommaso Ciampa does a rare out-of-character interview.

This past Saturday at NXT TakeOver: Phoenix, the self-proclaimed “Greatest Sports Entertainer Of All-Time” Tommaso Ciampa continued his reign as NXT Champion by defeating Aleister Black in the main event of the show. On social media Tommaso does not provide wrestling fans with any thoughts that come from his mind other than that he believes he is the best that WWE has to offer but Tommaso recently did an out-of-character interview with ‘The Independent’ to promote NXT’s forthcoming live event at the ‘URI Ryan Center’ in Rhode Island on February 10th.

Tommaso says that people continuously say NXT is the next generation of stars but he believes they are the current stars and further spoke about how he is the best champion in all of WWE.

“A lot of people keep saying that NXT is the next generation, future stars,” said Ciampa. “They’re wrong. We are the current stars, we’re the present. I am the NXT champion, I am the greatest champion in all of sports entertainment. That’s not excluding RAW and SmackDown, that’s including them. There is no getting called up. If anything those people should hope they be brought back to NXT. This is the hottest brand in the entire universe right now.”

Ciampa listed his fellow NXT roster members Keith Lee, Dominik Dijakovic and Matt Riddle as in-ring performers who help him grow. Ciampa said that the aforementioned names have experience wrestling in front of Rhode Island crowds and added that those in attendance for the NXT live event next week knows what to expect from them.

“I love competition,” Ciampa said. “I love when all the eyes are on me. I love Matt Riddle, I love Keith Lee, I love Dominik Dijakovic. I love these guys because they’re going to continue to push me. These are guys that have proven themselves to the Rhode Island crowd. They know what they’re in store for when they see these guys on the card.”

Tommaso Ciampa will be in action this upcoming Sunday as a part of ‘Halftime Heat’ and for more information on that, head over to Fightful’s published article on the topic.
