Steven Seagal Defends Khabib Nurmagomedov For UFC 229 Post-Fight Brawl
Legendary actor Steven Seagal saw what went down at UFC 229 and has voiced his support for the lightweight champion.
“Do I condemn him for what he did after the fight? No. Even as a diplomat I will say no. If you badmouth someone’s family, their wife, their children, their mother, their father, their country, their religion, all bets are off, and I would have done the same thing,” says Seagal on Submission Radio.
Nurmagomedov would get a nine month suspension and $500,000 fine for his role in the post-fight brawl.
Seagal also thought that before the brawl, it was Nurmagomedov who was a far superior fighter than McGregor during the UFC 229 main event.
“Ok, so, I thought that Khabib outclassed Conor in every way,” he said. “I thought even in the standup with the punching, he out-punched Conor. I thought his ground game was better. I thought that he was just a better fighter all around and I thought that he just really, really dominated Conor in every way and he won the fight fair and square.”
The action movie legend is reportedly developing sequels to two of his most popular films, with those sequels being Above The Law 2 and Under Siege 3.
