AEW Captions Social Media Post With Lyrics To The Revival’s Theme
All Elite Wrestling already has their social media game on-point.
Yesterday, Jan. 16, Fightful reported that there was fear in WWE that The Revival was finishing up with the company. Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer reported that the duo asked for their release following their bout against Lucha House Party on WWE Raw.
In a post on Facebook, AEW seemingly reacted to the news by posting a GIF of Cody Rhodes sipping coffee with the writing “Fuck the Revival. The post is captioned with “Say Yeaaaah,” which is the opening line to The Revival’s theme in WWE.
The Revival have been “feuding” online with Cody and the Young Bucks since 2017 when the AEW trio began saying “Fuck The Revival” after fans started to argue over which team — The Young Bucks or The Revival — was better. The hashtag #FTR became commonplace in the Being The Elite world with shirts printed up and sold. Recently, The Revival began using the hashtag on their social media and wearing it on their trunks, claiming it stood for “Forever The Revival.”
At the end of 2018, both The Revival and Young Bucks declared on Twitter that they would one day wrestle against each other. The tweet is currently pinned to the top of Wilder’s Twitter account.
One day we’ll wrestle The Young Bucks & everyone will rejoice. Remember this tweet.
